President’s Message

Last year was our centenary Show, so now it is fitting that we move forward into our next century. Our very first show centred largely around fruit and flowers which, when you think how difficult it was for the average farmer to transport show animals in the 1911-1920 period is quite logical. Pakenham shows have changed a lot over the years and so it can be expected that they will continue to change and evolve as times and circumstances
affect them. This year a small subsection of the committee have spent time, hard work and creativity in organising diverse attractions for everybody. Many thanks need to go to all members of the committee as well as other volunteers, exhibitors , stewards and Judges who come together each year to help stage and experience the enjoyment of our Agricultural Show.
It is a sad reality but a Show such as ours could not function without the support of our many sponsors. Our thanks to them and I urge you to support them whenever you can. I wish all exhibitors and competitors every success and look forward to our 101st Show being successful and memorable.
